CHICKEN TIKKA IN OVEN

Chicken Tikka one of the popular tandoori dishes  in restaurants. This is my one of the favorite  tandoori item .Very easy to cook but it is possible to get excellent results in the oven. We can prepare this recipe with one spoon of oil.





         
INGREDIENTS :
  1. Boneless, skinless chicken -300 grams.
  2. Tandoori masala powder -2 teaspoons.
  3. Red food color 2 or 3 drops.
  4. Salt to taste.
  5. White pepper powder-1/2 teaspoon.
  6. Red chilly, Tomato sauce- 1 teaspoon.
  7. A pinch of ajinomoto.
  8. Lemon juice ½ teaspoon.
  9. Ginger garlic paste-1 teaspoon.
  10. Oil or butter-1 teaspoon. 
  11. Coriander powder-1/2 teaspoon.
METHOD :
  1. Clean chicken cut into 2 - inch pieces.
  2. Wash and pat dry with a cloth. Add lemon juice to it.
  3. Allow it to rest for a few minutes.
  4. Mix the marinade ingredients in a bowl ginger garlic paste, pepper powder, salt, red chilly, tomato sauce, ajinomoto 1 tsp oil and tandoor masala mix well.
  5. Check for salt and other spices.
  6. Add chicken to the marinade mix too well. Keep aside for 1 hour.
  7. Preheat oven at 180c. Grease non-stick tawa.
  8. Place chicken pieces on tawa. Put tawa on high rack.
  9. Grill for 9 minutes, turn pieces and pour 1 teaspoon oil or butter grill for 8 minutes or until the chicken turns crisp.
  10. Serve hot with onion rings.
