OATS DOSA

       Dosa has made with a different type.Like a Plain dosa, Rava dosa, Masala dosa, sponge dosa, Omelette dosa, Maida dosa, Stuffed dosa and other varieties of dosas . However, oats dosa it gives you different taste. In addition, oats are very good for health it helps reduce cholesterol. Learn how to make oats dosa. 




   INGREDIENTS:
  • Black gram -1 cup.
  • Rice -2 cups.
  • Oats [Quaker oats] -2 cups.
  • Sodabicarb-1/2 teaspoon.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Oil-for making.
  • Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Chopped onion-1.
  • Green chillies-2 [Cut into small pieces].
  • Ginger -2 inch piece. [Cut into small pieces].
METHOD:
  1. Soak dal and fenugreek seeds and rice separately for 5 or 6 hours.
  2. Grind dal and fenugreek seeds with little water to a smooth paste.
  3. Remove and keep aside grind rice to a smooth paste.
  4. Mix dal and fenugreek paste with rice paste.
  5. Add little water if needed and keep overnight to ferment.
  6. Before 1/2 an hour making of dosa, add oats mix together.
  7. Add salt and soda bicarb and little water adjust to a spreading consistency.
  8. Heat dosa tava  grease 1 teaspoon of oil , pour the batter over tava to make dosa.
  9. Sprinkle chopped onions, ginger, and green chilly pieces.
  10. Pour 1 teaspoon of oil  to make dosa crisp.
  11. Flip dosa keep in medium flame. When the dosa become golden brown take away. Transfer in the serving  plate.
  12. Remove and serve hot dosa with coconut chutney.
